Hitting the headlines

Following a recent interview with our Chairman Reg Brown and Project Manager Jonathan Squirrell, a headline article featured on the front cover and on Page 3 of the Financial Times, outlining our endeavour to launch an Insurance Museum.

The article describes the idea of insurance and risk management going back centuries – from the Great Fire of London and the Titanic through to modern day driverless cars – highlighting that there would be no shortage of museum content.

In the article, Reg describes how he is hopeful this initiative will help people better understand what insurance is all about, how it works and how it would also convince more young people to choose insurance as a career option.

The article which featured an image and discussion of the Titanic generated quite a lot of interest and content ideas around this theme, for a future Insurance Museum exhibition, which would be great to fulfil.

Some of our sponsors which include Aviva, RWA, Hiscox, AXA, Willis Towers Watson, Swiss Re, IGI, PSC Insurance Group, Mulberry Risk, Aon, Ageas, Marsh, Guy Carpenter, LMA and Beazley, were even featured in the article. We’re delighted to receive such great coverage in the Financial Times and would like to say a big thank you to Oliver Ralph, Insurance Correspondent for his work on the piece.

We always welcome more sponsors to be part of this amazing initiative for the market and to help launch the museum. If you or your company would like to be a sponsor, or if you are a member of the press who would like to run a story on the Insurance Museum, please contact Jonathan Squirrell at jon@insurancemuseum.uk.
